About

Since 2019 I've worked at HyperX Arena Las Vegas, the 30,000 sq-ft esports venue run by Allied Esports. I started in Production IT in 2019 and I'm now VP of Technology. My scope is building-wide IT plus broadcast production, from the Cisco and Palo Alto network and Azure AD to the Ross, Evertz, and Lawo show systems and the LED walls.

I've managed both IT and production staff since 2021, and I stay hands-on: rack installs and repairs, and signal-flow troubleshooting while a show is on air.

Experience

  1. May 2026 – Present

    VP of Technology

Allied Esports / HyperX Arena Las Vegas

Lead IT and Production for the 30,000 sq-ft venue. I own the systems and manage the people on both teams.

    Director of Operations & IT

Allied Esports / HyperX Arena Las Vegas

Directed IT and facility operations for the venue. Led the IT team along with operations and production staff, and owned both the IT stack and the live production systems.

  3. Sep 2023 – Feb 2025

    IT Manager

Allied Esports / HyperX Arena Las Vegas

Rolled out Azure AD single sign-on, built PXE imaging for the gaming PC fleet, ran the Cisco, Ruckus, and Palo Alto network and 3CX VoIP through live events, and mentored junior technicians.

  4. Jun 2022 – Sep 2023

Operations Manager (dual role with IT)

Allied Esports / HyperX Arena Las Vegas

  5. Apr 2019 – Jun 2022

Selected projects

Gaming PC imaging with PXE

Problem
Reimaging the arena's 100+ gaming PCs by hand took hours per machine.
What I built
A PXE network-boot imaging server, so machines could be rebuilt over the network from a standard image.
Result
OS deployment went from about 4 hours to under 30 minutes.

Venue network & identity

Problem
A busy public venue needs its network, phones, and staff logins to stay up, especially while events are live.
What I built
Ran Cisco and Ruckus switching and wireless, Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, and 3CX VoIP, and rolled out Azure AD with single sign-on for staff workstations.
Result
No downtime during live events, and far fewer login problems for staff.

Broadcast operations

Lighting and audio control roomAudio console overlooking the arena stage
Problem
Esports shows have to stay on air, and the production systems sit on the same infrastructure as the rest of the building.
What I built
One team covering both sides: the Ross, Evertz Magnum, Lawo, camera/CCU, and LED systems plus the IT behind them, with hands-on rack work and live signal-flow troubleshooting.
Result
99.9% live-event uptime.

The venue

HyperX Arena Las Vegas: the floor, stage, studio, and spaces my teams keep running.
